Ho Ho Ho - Part 3

Friday, December 21st, 2007

- Stuart Scott has cancer in his appendix.  Here’s hoping for a full and healthy recovery.

- Ron Paul: In no way wasting his donors money

- “Plenty of examples of big underdogs pulling off unexpected wins” (BONUS: Belichick shows some respect)

- Janet Jackson (who’s pictures have always inspired me) shows off her new album cover (yes, she still makes albums)

That’s it! I’m out for the holidays! See you back here on Tuesday, January 7th.

Happy Holidays and Here’s to a Wonderful 2008!New_Years_Toast.jpg

Ho Ho Ho - Part 2

Friday, December 21st, 2007

- I understand how Letterman, Ferguson, Leno, O’Brien, and Kimmel will go back on air without writers, but Stewart and Colbert? Not sure if they’re up the challenge.

- For those who can’t wait, here is the American Idol early round schedule (it all starts January 15)

- Dude! It said “Hot Rod.” I would have TOTALLY done the same thing… had I been smart enough to be a surgeon

- Criss Angel is my idol. Ok, not really, but he bangs some hot honies!

Ho Ho Ho - Part 1

Friday, December 21st, 2007

Since I’m taking some time off for the holidays and will not be returning to my regular blogging until Tuesday, January 8, my holiday present to you is THREE postings today.

So let’s roll:

- The ROFF Bowl heats up: Tanks face a big loss as Fast Willie goes down on his first play; Horses’ Roeth strong for three TD’s

Quick note on Parker – the player, not the owner: Last night’s game was the last game on Fast Willie’s three year contract with the Shermtanks.  Where he ends up next year is anyone’s guess. But, for the past three he has been a constant force for the Tanks, putting up big numbers on a weekly basis.  Sure he hasn’t gotten in the endzone much this year, but he still had over 1000 yards in the regular season, and was the sixth leading scorer on the team (and a solid #2 running back.  Any of us would give our right arm for him to be our #1).  His injury is a shame, and the timing horrible, but he got Tanks this far in the season. Now it’s time for the rest of the team to pick up the slack.

- Great new video for “Us Placers,” a new song featuring Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams

- GI Joe the Movie is coming together!

- For some reason the creators of “The Book of SPAM” have decided to take their hard earned money and promote the launch with, sigh, toastvertising

I Hate Holiday Shopping - Part 2

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

- Apparently they have filmed some of Heroes, Volume III. That has allowed us to see this clip (where, apparently, Sylar is WAYYYYY back!)

- Lindsay Lohan… lesbian?

- First eight minutes of the new Tom Hanks\Julia Roberts movie, Charlie Wilson’s War

- Seriously: Who asked Curt Schilling to speak?

OOPS: Josh pointed out that the link to his Coffee of the 50 was busted in an earlier posting.  My bad. So here’s the GOOD link… PLUS: the GREATEST link

I Hate Holiday Shopping - Part 1

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

- It was bound to happen: A Kenneth the Page bobble head. And no, I don’t want it for the holidays (although I LOVE that it says “It’s gonna get raw in here like sushi so haters to the left.”)

- Not sure if we have fans out there, but The Dead Zone and The 4400 have been officially canceled.

- Who doesn’t love a good cover song? Check out the top 20 of 2007 (more lists!!!)

- Tara Reid lost a little bit of weight. Luckily it doesn’t effect the implants.

BONUS: It was on yesterday’s list of Top 20 Viral Videos of 2007, but I just can’t stop watching!

ROFF Bowl Commeth - Part 2

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

- Bored? Check out the Top 20 Viral Videos of 2007 (and yes, “two girls, one cup” made the list). Personal favorite: The Potter Puppets…

- Sports fans (and players) can be mean: TO tells Simpson to back off; New Yorks beg for the firing of Isiah; Parcell’s tells Atlanta no… Miami, maybe?

- Free your inner nerd people (and yes, I definitely have done SOME of these)

- Did you know: All ROFF Bowl logos are actually tweaks on the original Super Bowl logos?  Here’s a look at some of the past and present logos (and click here if you want to see what’s coming up)

ROFF Bowl Commeth - Part 1

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

- I don’t think I can credit just one person for passing me this news today, so I credit my entire team: Jamie Lynn Spears is preggers… (I happily await your “comments” Scott)

- Why can’t football coaches just go peacefully into the night?

- A sign of things to come? Batman vs. Superman poster hidden in I Am Legend

- Commish Recap (and Swami’s predictions) have been posted in preparation for the BIG Thurs – Monday ROFF Bowl VI matchup. Good luck to both!

Is It X-Mas Yet? - Part 2

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

- Happy Holidays from Rasheed and the Pistons (thanks Jason for the link)

- Another tease for the Pixar 2008 movie, Wall-E.  I’m STOKED!

- Apparently, Peter Brady doesn’t like lesbians. Especially when they’re hot.

- Did someone request a 2-minute trailer for season 4 of Lost? This holiday season, ye shall receive

Is It X-Mas Yet? - Part 1

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

- It appears that people are going more towards the Andy Pettite route, rather than the Clemens.  Today? Brian Roberts.

- Homer Simpson, 36 years in the making.

- Speaking of Homer - NEW YORKERS: Look out for Simpson DVD tie-ins around the city all day today

- No He-Man? No GI Joe? The so-called beginnings of the Toy Hall of Fame

Morning Trailers - Part 2

Monday, December 17th, 2007

- The most anticipated Coffee of the 50 of the season. Mainly cause it features ME!

- Disturbingly funny. Where the heck does someone find a girl that is that cool? (thank you Mrs. Sherman for the link)

- Leno and O’Brien to return after New Years…

- Ok, so Alycia Lane was arrested yesterday in NYC for allegedly punching a police officer in the face. Who is Lane? “Earlier this year, she was in the national news after sending pictures of herself wearing a bikini to NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen. Eisen’s wife discovered the mails, and sent a caustic reply to Lane that was later widely published. Lane said at the time that she and Eisen were ‘purely platonic’ friends.”
